Staying Hydrated: 3 Hydrating Hacks For Longer Days Outside

Summer is arguably the best time of year to be outside thanks to the warm weather and extended hours of sunlight. However, the sun’s rays, heat, and humidity can take a toll as you sweat out the fluid your body needs to function. Staying hydrated in the summer can be a challenge, but it doesn’t have to mean guzzling water all day long. There are lots of flavorful ways to get your fluids this summer. We’ve put together a list of three hydrating hacks for longer days outside.

Start With a Shake or Smoothie

Starting your day off with a shake or smoothie is a great way to boost your hydration levels before you even head outdoors. Shakes and smoothies have a naturally high water content and typically contain fresh fruit, which adds antioxidants and natural electrolytes to help with fluid balance.
