Orgain products do not contain regular sunflower oil. We utilize certified organic high-oleic sunflower oil, which is rich in linoleic acid, an essential monounsaturated fat extracted from organic sunflower seeds. The fatty-acid profile is opposite to that of traditional sunflower oil (as it is mono-unsaturated fat). We use a very small amount of high-oleic sunflower, so the amount of omega-6 is minimal. Rest assured, there are never solvents (such as hexane) used in the extraction process. Rather, our high oleic sunflower oil is expeller-pressed!

Yes! These shakes are made with ultra-filtered premium milk proteins and while they inherently contain a small amount of lactose, they are considered suitable for those with lactose intolerance.

While our ready-to-drink shakes are shelf stable and tolerate heat well, we recommend cooling the unopened Orgain ready-to-drink shakes by refrigerating them, then shake well, and enjoy! Once opened, ready-to-drink shakes should be consumed within 2 hours or consumed within 72 hours after opening and refrigerated.
