Inside Orgain

Picky Profiles: Stephen H.

Here at Orgain, we take pride in how picky we are. After all, it's this very pickiness that dictates the high standard we hold our products to, for the sake of your health and ours. True, we are picky with our protein powder, just like we are picky with our ingredients ... but in what other strange ways are we picky? Today's Picky Profile brings you Stephen H., VP of Sales for Orgain. Stephen Orgain How do you contribute to Orgain's pickiness and high standards as a company and with their protein powders and products? I do a lot of work on the packaging artwork and, much to the chagrin of our operations department, I am constantly tinkering with little things, like changes in colors that are probably undetectable to the human eye, the size or style of the font, or the images we use. Or worse I've decided I now hate what we did previously and think we need to blow it up and create something new immediately. Once I've hit that point it's hard to pull me back. It drives me crazy if something we've created isn't as perfect as it can be.
Why is Orgain's Protein Powder better than other brands?
Simply because I can drink it shaken in water and it actually tastes good. I don't like to be forced to add carbs, calories, or sugar so I love that I can just mix it in water.
How do you use your Orgain Protein Powder?
I take my protein powder just like my socks and underwear drawers ... neat.
Tell us your strangest, funniest or most embarrassing picky moments in life.
I've been in sales for a long time now so I've stayed in hotels many, many nights. I need the hotel room to be just right. But that's not really the picky part. Each morning before I head out, I re-pack all my things (clothes, toiletries, chargers, etc). I wipe down the vanity and make the bed. I close the shower curtain and make sure there isn't water on the floor. I raise the temperature and turn off all the lights to save energy. It takes a lot of extra time but I can't stand the idea of leaving the room anything less than clean.
