We recommend a dosage of 5 grams per day for maintenance, though some people start with a "loading phase" of 20 grams per day for 5-7 days. A loading phase can help saturate muscles with creatine faster, but it’s not necessary if you prefer a steady approach. Where a loading phase may help the consumer reach muscle creatine saturation within a 5-7 day period, a dose of 5g per day will facilitate muscle saturation after about 30 days. We recommend a longer approach to creatine consumption to mitigate any GI distress associated with large dosages of the supplement.
