  1. Heat the oil in a nonstick skillet over medium-low heat.
  2. Add the onions and sauté for 10 minutes, stirring every few minutes.
  3. Add a little bit of water and let it sizzle and evaporate.
  4. Keep stirring every couple of minutes as you add more liquid.
  5. After about 25 minutes the onions should be caramelized and fragrant. Allow the onions to cool.
  6. Mix in a medium sized bowl with sour cream, protein powder, soy sauce, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt and pepper.
  7. Garnish with parsley and serve with sliced vegetables or your favorite baked crackers.
