Quick & Healthy Breakfast On-The-Go By Megan Roosevelt, RDN and Founder of HealthyGroceryGirl.com A busy schedule can make it difficult to eat healthy. Below are some quick & healthy breakfast ideas I love that will keep you nourished even when busy & on the go! Smoothie Bowl With Fresh Fruit & Nuts Smoothies take just a few minutes to prepare and you can sip on them as you get ready or commute. To boost protein and flavor top your smoothie with granola, chia seeds, fresh fruit and nuts to create a “smoothie bowl”. This will help you feel full longer. Oatmeal With Almond Butter, Chia Seeds & Blueberries! This option is perfect when traveling or to take with you for work! Choose rolled or steel cut oatmeal, which will contain fiber, protein and whole-grains to keep you feeling full and satisfied. Add a dollop of nut butter on top (such as almond butter) and a sprinkling of chia seeds for added protein. You can make and portion out oatmeal ahead of time so it’s ready to grab and go. Single serve oatmeal packets (without added sugar) is also a great grab and go option. Protein Bar and Fresh Fruit Lastly, if you do not have time to make breakfast there are a few great grab and go options for protein or granola bars. When selecting a bar you want to look for options with at least 3 grams of protein and 3 grams of fiber. Orgain has fantastic protein bars with great flavors such as peanut butter!
