Tropical Smoothie Bowl

Escape to the tropics with this no added sugar delight! Frozen dragon fruit, mango, and banana blend together perfectly with Orgain's Organic Protein™ Plant Based Protein Powder - Vanilla Bean. Created by Liz Shaw MS, RDN, CPT

Ingredients

  • ½ cup unsweetened almond milk*
  • 2 scoops Orgain Organic Protein™ Plant Based Protein Powder, Vanilla
  • ½ small frozen banana, cut into slices
  • 1/3 cup frozen dragon fruit cubes
  • 1/3 cup frozen mango cubes
  • 1 tablespoon unsweetened shredded coconut
  • 2 tablespoons chopped nuts
  • 1 tablespoon low-sugar granola
  • ¼ small fresh banana, thinly sliced**
  • ½ clementine**
  • 2 tablespoons blueberries**

Optional: ½ oz dark chocolate, finely chopped

Instructions

  1. To a blender cup, add the almond milk and Orgain Vanilla Protein Powder.
  2. Blend for 10 seconds, then add in the frozen banana slices, dragon fruit cubes, and mango cubes
  3. Blend until smooth.
  4. If needed, add a tablespoon of milk more at a time to create desired consistency.
  5. Pour smoothie into a bowl or cup, and top with unsweetened coconut, chopped nuts, granola, fresh blueberries, and sliced bananas, if desired.
  6. Enjoy immediately.

*Use preferred milk of choice. Unsweetened almond, oat, and coconut work well in this recipe as plant-based options.

**To keep with the tropical theme, feel free to sub in preferred fruit of choice on top! Kiwi, passion fruit, dragon fruit, pineapple, and fresh mango also work well.
