Pink & Green Marshmallow Popcorn Balls

Get ready for a wickedly magical mashup of salty and sweet flavors in a crunchy treat too delicious to put down. These popcorn treats are powered by protein and bursting with marshmallowy goodness. Naturally tinted with dragonfruit pink powder and matcha, these popcorn balls are bringing bold color and blockbuster energy.
Ingredients
Popcorn treats:
- 2 scoops Orgain Organic Plant Based Protein Powder, Strawberries ‘n Cream flavor
- 12 cups of freshly popped popcorn or store bought (plain)
- 5 oz butter
- 3 cups marshmallows -or- vegan marshmallows
Natural coloring:
- 2 tsp freeze dried dragonfruit powder (optional for color)
- 2 tsp matcha powder (leave out if you don’t like matcha, but you’ll lose the green color)
Instructions
- To start divide all “popcorn treat ingredients” into two equal parts.
- Start with two separate mixing bowls, add 6 cups of freshly popped popcorn to each bowl.
- On medium heat in a large saucepot heat 2.5 oz of the butter until melted.
- Whisk the dragonfruit powder into one of the popcorn bowls until smooth then add in 1 1/2 cups marshmallows.
- Keep mixing until the marshmallow are melted then add 1 scoop of Orgain Organic Protein Powder, in flavor of choice.
- Mix until well combined.
- Take the saucepot off the heat then pour the marshmallow mixture over one of the bowls of popcorn.
- Mix together with a wooden spoon or use your hands to integrate the popcorn with the marshmallow mixture.
- Scoop about ¼ cup of the popcorn with your hands and roll in the palms of your hands to form a tight ball.
- Repeat step 9, until no more mixture remains in the bowl.
- Repeat steps 2-10 with remaining ingredients for the popcorn treats, substitute in the matcha powder instead of the dragonfruit powder.
- Serve up this colorful and enjoy!
